Sandwich Bites Lunch

If you've seen my previous school lunch posts you know that I love sandwich bites or sandwich squares, whatever you wanna call them! They are easy to make, and fun for my little girl to eat. Kiddos, especially ones you may have a hard time getting to eat their lunch, are more likely to finish a sandwich this way. They will gobble up these cute little squares! I make the sandwich bites with my FunBites cutter.

Sandwich Bites:
Ingredients:
- Sara Lee Honey Wheat Bread, lightly toasted. I always lightly toast the bread when I'm using spreads, or when I'm using a cutter. It just makes the bread easier to work with.
- SunButter (obviously you can use whatever sandwich fillings you would like, these are my daughters favorites and they are allowed at her school, so we use them often for school lunch).
- Chocolate hazelnut spread

Once you've got your bread lightly toasted and your spreads on, just go ahead and use the cutter and you'll have adorable little sandwich bites in no time. If you don't have a FunBites cutter you can use a knife and cut squares of your own.

For this lunch I also packed peaches, a Buddy Fruits apple blueberry pouch, and a Slim Snack full of Annie's Organic Cheddar Bunnies.

Cute Animals School Lunch

I got these super cute new food picks of little animals, so I've been adding them in to my daughter's lunches for added cuteness! While still keeping the lunch simple to make, as well as healthy and fun to eat.
Aren't they adorable?

So what I did for this lunch was:
- sandwich squares, put onto heart food picks. I made the sandwich squares with Sara Lee Honey Wheat bread, SunButter, and chocolate hazelnut spread. I always lightly toast the bread to make it easier to work with, and then I used a FunBites cutter to make the little square shapes
- blackberries and strawberries, with the cute little above mentioned animal food picks
- a few chocolate animal crackers as a treat
- a Zen Almond Milk Chocolate Pudding
- and a Slim Snack full of Annie's Organic Cheddar Bunnies

Cupid Smores

Doesn't that look like a delicious mess? And so much fun for Valentine's Day, or any other time. All you need is some graham crackers, pink and white marshmallows, and Hershey's chocolate bars.

We just stack them up, and then microwave them for about 10 seconds and then gobble them up! These are especially fun to make with the Ever After High Birthday Ball Cupid Doll by your side! Too cute.

Valentine's Day School Lunch

I wanted to pack my little Valentine a Valentine's themed lunch for school today. Here's what I put together, it could work for anytime, but it's perfect for Valentine's Day too!

So in this lunch I packed a sandwich shaped like a heart, a sandwich that said love, some blackberries, and some strawberries as you can see. What you can't see though is that I also packed a Zen Almond Milk Chocolate Pudding, and a bag of Pirate's Booty. I forgot to take a picture of the complete lunch box.

To make this lunch Valentine's themed I used the cutters I had shaped like a heart, and shaped like the word "love" Then I outlined both of the sandwich shapes in a food safe red marker. You can put whatever you would like on your sandwiches, I used SunButter and chocolate hazelnut spread because that's my daughters favorite combo. To continue on with the Valentine's theme I got a reusable heart shaped baking cup and filled it with blackberries. For the strawberries I put some cute pink puppy food picks in them (puppy love is perfect for Valentine's Day).

You can make your own Valentine's Day or love themed lunch with other things as well, any red or pink fruits or veggies would work. You can put a note in the lunch box about how much you love your little one, etc.

Write On A Banana Lunch

For this lunch I packed a sandwich, strawberries, a banana, and a bag of Pirate's Booty. For the sandwich I put some SunButter and chocolate hazelnut spread on some lightly toasted Sara Lee Honey Wheat Bread, then used a FunBites cutter to make little squares that I then stuck on some heart food picks. To make the lunch extra fun and cute I decided to write on my daughter's banana with a food safe marker. I wrote "I <3 U". You could put any message you would like on a banana, and put it in your little ones lunch box to make it special.

Build Your Own Pizzas Lunch

My daughter had a request for this fun lunch after we had gotten some pizza stuff at the grocery store. While I make a pizza she likes to put some of the cheese and pepperoni's on crackers and eat them. She loves creating her own little dishes, so this lunch was fun and perfect for her.

Build Your Own Pizzas:
Ingredients:
- Ritz crackers
- Imo's cheese
- Pepperoni slices

Just pack them all into the lunch box for your kiddo to assemble themselves, You could also pack a little container of pizza sauce for dipping if that's something your child would enjoy. My daughter did not want any sauce.

I also packed a container of peaches, and a Slim Snack with some Glutino Yogurt Covered Pretzels.

Puzzle Sandwich Lunch

I was so excited about this lunch because using the lunch kit that I did I was actually able to display the puzzle pieces of the sandwich in their completed form, whereas normally I just stack them up.

See? Super cute! All I did to make it was lightly toast some Sara Lee Honey Wheat bread, then spread some SunButter and chocolate hazelnut spread on the pieces. I always lightly toast the bread when I'm working with spreads so they go on easier, it also makes it easier to use a cutter. I used this puzzle cutter from Munchkin.

With this lunch you can see that I also packed some skewers of strawberries and Montchevre pumpkin goat cheese. I just stuck pieces of both on some heart food picks. I also packed a separate container of mandarin oranges, and a Slim Snack with some Annie's Cheddar Bunnies.

Mac N Chz, Sandwich & Fruit Lunch

Today I wanted to pack a hot lunch for my daughter, but I didn't want to just send mac and cheese either, so I thought I'd add some cute little sandwich shapes and fruit as well.

For fruit I packed some sliced strawberries, ad some blackberries. I put food pick eyes in some of them for added cuteness! I made elephant sandwiches with this cutter. I used SunButter and chocolate hazelnut spread, but you can use whatever you would like.

Packed that up with the mac and cheese and it was complete!

Bento School Lunch

For this school lunch I packed a sandwich, along with some strawberries, raisins, a mini muffin and a BuddyFruits Organic pouch. It was a pretty simple lunch, but I wanted to add a cute touch, so for the sandwich I cut some flowery shapes out and put them in a reusable baking cup, with the rest of the sandwich torn into little bites on the side. The mini muffin recipe is from Super Healthy Kids, they are great and packed with lots of good stuff like flax seeds, and bananas.

Mini Muffin School Lunch

For my daughter's lunch today I packed more of the awesome muffins I found the recipe for on Super Healthy Kids. But instead of full sized muffins I packed 4 mini muffins. I also put in some sliced pears.

You can see I also added in a bag of Pirate's Booty and a Babybel cheese. After I snapped the pic I also put in a Buddy Fruits Organic strawberry and applesauce pouch just in case!

Healthy Muffin School Lunch

For this school lunch I decided to pack some muffins in my daughters lunch box instead of a sandwich. I found a great recipe for healthy Dark Chocolate Chip Whole Wheat Banana Bread Muffins on this website where there's tons of ideas for healthy recipes that kiddos love.

So other than the muffins I packed:
- some kiwi and strawberries
- RW Garcia 3 Seed Sweet Potato Crackers in a cute little rectangular reusable baking cup, I also packed some Montchevre pumpkin goat cheese to spread on them
- some Glutino yogurt covered pretzels, also in a reusable baking cup for added cuteness

I packed a little penguin knife for my daughter to spread the goat cheese onto the crackers with.
